The Intelligence Ombudspersons’ Office is a state budgetary institution accountable to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, which ensures the work of the Lithuanian Intelligence Ombudspersons and assists in carrying out inspections and investigations of the activities of the intelligence agencies, examining complaints from applicants and reports from intelligence officers, preparing methodological recommendations and providing consultations. The Office is owned by the State. The rights and obligations of the owner of the Office are exercised by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
